Should You Become a Simply Fun Direct Sales Consultant? My Review

The business opportunity that SimplyFun offers has the potential to be lucrative. But is this really as good as it seems? Should you become a Simply Fun consultant? Or is this another shady mlm scam that is going to be a waste of your time, effort, and money?

I’ll jump straight to the point here and say that Simply Fun is better than a lot of mlm’s out there. While it is still a mlm, its not quite as “shady” as most of them. It can be a good business opportunity and some people really seem to love it. But there are still the downsides to it that you should know about, which I will go over.

simply funSimply Fun Consultant Review

  • Company: SimplyFun
  • Type: MLM
  • Cost to Join: $129
  • Legit?: Yes

Overview

Simply Fun is a mlm company that sells educational kids toys and games. They started in 2008 and have a pretty good reputation to date.

Their products serve a good purpose and are of good quality. I can’t really find anything to complain about when it comes to the products. If you are into fun children education then you will like the products.

But the focus of this review is going to be on the business opportunity that is offered. This is a direct sales business and anyone can join as a consultant. Consultants do all the selling and marketing for Simply Fun. The products here are not sold in retail stores.

Cost Of Joining

In order to join the business opportunity you will first have to buy a Starter Kit for $129. This kit is designed to give you a kick start and get your Simply Fun business up and running. It includes games, training tools, a training guide, business supplies, catalogs, and more.

While $129 may seem like a lot of money to get started, this kit is pretty important and would help a lot.

A Look At The Compensation Plan

There are 4 ranks within this compensation plan and the amount of money that you can potentially make depends very much on your rank. These ranks include…

  1. Builder
  2. Master
  3. Mentor
  4. Scholar

Everyone starts out as a Builder. And at this rank you can only earn money by your direct sales and by sales bonuses.

You will earn 25% on all products sold and depending on how much volume you sell in a given month, you can earn up to a 9% bonus.

This 25% profit on direct sales is the same for all ranks. But what makes the upper ranks better is that you can get higher sales bonuses and you can get team bonuses… which come from recruiting others into the business and building a team.

The Team Bonus is what you can really make a lot of money off of if you are successful in recruiting and building up your downline. Its mlm structure here is fairly conservative and only pays down 3 generations at the most, but nonetheless it can be very profitable.

These generations that I’m talking about are basically other recruit’s teams that are in your downline. They are just groups of people beneath you that you will be earning commissions from.

Below is a chart that I found that shows the percentages that you can make depending on your rank.

Is This a Good Business Opportunity? The Statistics

When it comes to mlm’s there is a grey cloud overhead. They have a bad reputation because the fact of the matter is that very few people make good money with them. When mlm’s are focused so much on recruitment as a way for consultants to earn income…. it is always going to be the case that few earn money. Because in order for consultants to earn money they need to climb their way to the top of the mlm pyramid-like structure and earn from those beneath them.

I have reviewed dozens and dozens of mlm’s (Organo Gold & Pruvit recently) and this is always the case to some degree. However, some mlm’s are better than others. It seems the more mlm’s focus on recruitment and the more their compensation plans reward recruitment, the more people fail.

Simply Fun, as I said, has a fairly conservative comp plan when it comes to recruitment so I would expect their success rates to be on the higher side. Most mlm’s have over a 95% fail rate with massive turnover rates. I wouldn’t expect this to be that bad but it is still very likely that most people will fail.

I was unable to find an official income disclosure from this company to provide any real statistics however. So that is disappointing.

Final Thoughts & What I Recommend

Simply Fun is a legitimate business that offers a legitimate business opportunity. You can rest assured that this place is not a scam if you had worries about it being such. There are a lot of mlm scams out there but this is not one of them. I would definitely consider this to be one of the better opportunities in this industry.

If you like the products that Simply Fun sells and you think you have what it takes to survive in the mlm world then go for it. Just know that it isn’t going to be easy. Although I do believe that it would be easier to survive as a Simply Fun consultant than with most other mlm’s, this is still a mlm and I would not be surprised to see that over 75% of people or higher fail. Unfortunately like I said they do not provide an income disclosure for me to really know the statistics that we are dealing with here.

If you are like me and are just not the salesperson type that would be any good at selling or recruiting, or you want another option for making money with your own business, you should read my post on how I make a living working online (link below). I work for myself online and its a pretty awesome career. In the post I wrote I explain what it is that I do, how it all works, and how others can do the same.
