Is SwagBucks.com a Scam? Here Is What I Have To Say
SwagBucks is one of many Get Paid To (GPT) sites that pay you to complete surveys, tasks, offers, play games, etc. But is SwagBucks.com a scam? In this review I’ll be going over my experience with SwagBucks and whether or not I recommend anyone else try to make money through their site.
Spoiler: There are goods and bads to SwagBucks. I’ll start off with the goods, and then go over the bads.
Oh and by the way, before I get too into this... if you are looking for a legitimate way to make money online you might want to check out my no. 1 recommendation below. Just take a peek if you get a chance and see if you think you would like doing this too..
(I make over $4,000/mo doing this and I enjoy it)
I just thought I'd throw this out there for you because I know a lot of people would appreciate this. But anyway, let me get back to this....
In case you don’t know what SwagBucks is all about here is a very brief overview…
- Website: SwagBucks.com
- Type: Get Paid To (GPT) Website
- Price To Join: Free
- Rating: 8/10 (Probably my favorite GPT website. Lots of ways to earn and they know how to make it fun for you. Good way to earn some extra money)
SwagBucks is a GPT (get paid to) website just like Survey Savvy, MySurvey, Survey Spot, etc. You can get paid to complete surveys, watch videos, play games, complete tasks and offer, and more. Everything that you have to do is very easy, but of course you don’t get paid all that much.
The reason SwagBucks pays you is because they are paid money by tons of companies all over to conduct market research for them. They want consumers’ opinions in order to make and market their products better and they are willing to pay a lot of money to do so. SwagBucks goes out and conducts the research via surveys, tasks, offers… and then pays you a small amount of that money for doing so. This is a legitimate business model that will never go away.

- Watch Videos – SwagBucks Watch has videos available to watch and earn SB
- Play Games – There are a list of simple games to play and earn SB

Lots Of Ways To Cash Out
You can cash out your SwagBucks for a lot of different gift cards if you wish. Do you shop at Walmart, Target, Amazon, BestBuy? Then redeem your points for a gift card. If not you can always get cash via PayPal.
Way To Make THE MOST Money With SwagBucks
Getting cashback on online purchases is by far the best way to get a lot of SB fast. Of course you have to spend money to make the SB in the first place. But this isn’t such a big deal if you are like me and make nearly all of your purchases online.
SwagBucks is partnered with a ton of top level companies like Walmart, Amazon, Target, Hotels.com, and plenty more, all of which you can get cashback when making purchases through them.
The amount of cashback you can get varies. In my account right now you can see some of the popular offers that are available to me. Right now Walmart is offering 8 SB back for every $1 you spend there.
Thats a heck of a lot of SB compared to other earning methods. Think about it… If you spend $50 at Walmart right now you will make 400SB.
This is nothing that I would go out of my way to do. Its not like I would buy things I normally wouldn’t just to make SB. I buy what I’m going to buy regardless and earn SB in the process.
The Easiest Way To Earn SwagBucks
Cashback is the best way to earn “a lot” of SB, but its not the easiest. The easiest way I would have to say is using the SwagBucks internet search.
SwagBucks has its own little search engine and all you have to do is use it like you normally would Google or Yahoo and you can make SB.
You won’t be earning much at all, maybe 3 or 4 SB with a handful of searches, but its so easy. All you are doing is what you already do anyhow.

What I Don’t Like About SwagBucks
As with anything, there are going to be things that you just don’t like. Some of the more common complaints that I have and many others include…
Extremely Low Pay
Don’t expect much or else you will be disappointed. Paid survey sites like this don’t pay like they used to. This is only a good opportunity to earn some extra pocket change every once in a while. You can read another article I wrote about How Much Money You Can Make On SwagBucks (realistically).
No Support Whatsoever
If you have a problem with your account or getting paid or something, good luck getting in touch with them. Their support is terrible. You will likely give up after trying to reach them for a couple weeks straight.
Hard To Qualify For Surveys
Survey taking is definitely one of the better ways to make SB. Unfortunately you can’t just go and take any survey out there. You first have to qualify and you will find out that this is a pain and you will be unapproved often.
Is SwagBucks.com a Scam? Final Thoughts
I don’t think they are a scam. I haven’t experienced any real scam activity using SwagBucks and I have been a member for nearly a year. I mean sure it pisses me off when I can’t qualify for surveys and when you can’t contact them (I was locked out of my account for a while and it took me forever to get support to help me), but this doesn’t amount to it being a scam.
Anyway, I recommend SwagBucks for those looking to make some extra pocket change every once in a while. Just don’t expect to make a lot of money.
