Company Overview

Modere is a health focused mlm company. Their products include lotions, hair conditioners, supplements, eye makeup remover, etc… with the main focus being on skin health.

Their entire business is focused around a direct sales marketing strategy. This means that anyone can join Modere’s business opportunity and start earning money selling their products.

And because they have a mlm compensation structure, this means that members can recruit other people into the business and earn money from what they do.

Cost to Join

Modere calls their independent representatives Social Markers. When you join as a Social Marketer you will have to pay an enrollment fee of $39.99.

You will also be somewhat pushed to buy other enrollment collections that cost in the hundreds of dollars range.

The MLM Part of It

The MLM side of Modere is what many has many people questioning the legitimacy of this business. Some even question whether or not its a pyramid scheme due to the similar characteristics its compensation plan shares to that of a pyramid scheme.

MLM’s are always focused on recruitment of other members. And with these other members that you recruit in you can make money. In the Modere comp plan you can make up to 20% commissions on the money that your Customer POD makes, which are the customers that you bring in,  that your recruits bring in, that your recruits’ recruits bring in, and so on.

Just like any mlm, there are ranks. You start out at the bottom and work your way to the top where you will enjoy a lot more pay and a lot more benefits.

When you first start out you will have the title of “consultant”.  As you recruit more people and make more points by the sales that you and those people make, you will move up the ranks which will then give you access to more legs of the mlm that you can earn commissions from.

No I’m not going to go over every single part of this mlm compensation plan, but I will go over the Generation Uni-level structure real fast because this can be a massive money maker.

This unilevel structure goes up to 8 levels deep. Your recruits would make up the first level their recruits would make up the second leve, and so on for up to 8 levels.

If you make it up all the ranks and can take advantage of all these 8 levels this can be huge.

Is This a Pyramid Scheme?

Wondering is Modere a pyramid scheme? This is a common question I get with mlm’s like this.

The answer to this is somewhat complicated. In order for it to be considered a pyramid scheme its revenues would have to be overly dependent on recruitment rather than product sales to the general public.

It is true that Modere’s comp plan definitely gives member some big incentive to go out and recruit more people in. But I don’t think its enough to call it a pyramid scheme. They do put emphasis on selling products too and they do have good products to sell.

But just because its not a pyramid scheme doesn’t mean that it is a good opportunity. Its not going to easy to make money in this business.

Difference Between MLM’s & Pyramid Schemes

Success Isn’t Easy

While some people manage to make tons of money in mlm’s like this, the large majority fail to do so. It is the very top 1-3% that are going to make the big bucks with a business like this. All those low on the totem poll that haven’t moved up the ranks will not reap the rewards.

Usually this is the part where I show an official income disclosure for the mlm under review. But unfortunately Modere has not released official income disclosure statements.

This is troubling and makes me wonder why they didn’t? My guess is because it makes them look bad because with every mlm out there the large majority of people are making next to nothing.

Final Thoughts & What I Recommend

First off, Modere is a legit company. They may seem a little shady because of their mlm structure which focuses on recruitment, but that’s just the way of the industry.

So if you are really into skin care products and think you would have a good chance at making it in this business then why not go for it.

Just know that its is NOT going to be easy. Recruitment is a priority and everyone that makes good money in this business knows darn well that in order to do so you have to be a recruitment machine. You have to build up them levels beneath you and take advantage of the mlm structure in its entirety.

If you have that type of personality like a salesperson, then you might be a good fit for the business. But if you don’t then this is going to be a difficult one for you and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Personally, I don’t have anything even close to a salesperson type personality and there is no way I would make it in this mlm business. If you are like me then I would recommend you take a peek at how I make money online.
