Is Lucktastic a Scam? My Honest Review
There are a lot of apps out there that promise to make you easy money, but some turn out to be scams. If you are wondering whether Lucktastic is a scam or not, you came to the right place.
There has been a lot of hype over this app so I decided to give it a try and see if it really lives up to what they say. Now that I have tried and tested it, I know from experience whether its a scam or not and will go into full detail in this review.
Spoiler: Its not a scam, you can make money, but this isn’t for everyone

To download the Lucktastic app you can do so at Lucktastic.com. You must have an iPhone or Android device to do so.
When I joined Lucktastic, the first thing I wanted to do was figure out how this all works. Its important to see how an app works and make sure that it makes sense before spending a bunch of time on something that is just a waste.
How Lucktastic Works
Its nothing unusual and there are websites/apps out there that provide the same sort of service. The PCH Lotto app for example is the same type of thing, but in my opinion not as good.
You make money by playing scratchcards (aka scratch-offs), which are those matching scratch-off games you can purchase at gas stations, just these scratchcards are all done through the app.
The cool part is that you don’t have to pay a cent to play these scratchcards. Its kind of like making free money in a way. But the catch too it all is that you have to watch ads in order to play.
Paid advertising is how Lucktastic makes their money, and this is how they are able to pay you. Big companies pay them to advertise to their app users, and they entice users to watch the ads so that they can play the scratchcards and win money (or rewards).
Examples Of The Scratchcards You Will Play
As you can see below, there are a number of different scratch games you can play. And the rewards vary between cash and tokens, which I will go over later.
The amount of the reward also varies quite a bit. Below you can see that there is a game of “Lady Luck” that you can play for a chance to win $100, and then there is the “Bowling 300” game that only gives out a $2 prize if you win. There are also scratchcards that have prizes in the thousands of dollars range.
As you can imagine, the bigger prizes are more difficult to win than the lesser ones.
There are different types of scratchcard games available for you to play, but just to give you a basic example of what you can expect, I have taken a screenshot of “Cat Scratch Fever” below. In this game all you do is scratch your symbols, and if you have 3 matching ones you win the prize.
How Much Money Can You Make?
This is just like any lottery type game that’s out there. You can make 10’s of thousands of dollars at Lucktastic….if you get lucky.
On Lucktastic.com they show people that have won a ton of money like this lady below…
And then on their Youtube channel they show a bunch of videos of people winning tons of money, like this one for example:
While I do believe that these winners are real and all, don’t think that you are going to win like they do. These people are extremely lucky.
Of course Lucktastic is going to show their biggest winners to entice people to sign up and play, but don’t expect to earn anywhere near what these people are earning.
Most of the scratchcards are going to be losers and you aren’t going to earn any money. However, they do have a bonus play, where you can at least earn some tokens. This at least gives you a little reward even when you lose.
Generally you can expect around 10 tokens, give or take, when you lose.
Rewards – Getting Paid
Everyone’s favorite reward seems to be gold old fashion cash money, and lucky for you Lucktastic does alow you to cash out via Dwolla, which is similar to Paypal, or you have the choice to have them mail you a check or even give you a Visa gift card, which is basically straight money.
If you don’t want regular old money, you can get your reward via gift cards. Lucktastic offers all kinds of giftcards.
You can get giftcards for Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Restaurant.com, Burger King, and plenty other places.
There is no reason why anyone shouldn’t be able to find a gift card that they will like.
Tokens Vs Cash
As I’ve mentioned several times, you can win both cash and tokens when you play at Lucktastic.
If you win cash, then that is easy to know the value of… $1 = $1. But what if you win tokens?? How much value do these have?
Well the value of a token varies with what you want to do with that token. Take the screenshot above as an example.. It shows that you can redeem 15,000 tokens for a $10 Restaurant.com gift card, or you can redeem 23,000 tokens for a $5 Amazon.com giftcard.
And the value of the tokens here would be …
- $5 Amazon.com Gift Card: 23,000 tokens / $5 = 4,600 for just $1
- $10 Restaurant.com Gift Card: 15,000 tokens / $10 = 1,500 for a $1
So as you can see, the Restaurant.com gift card is the much better deal. With it every 1,500 tokens = $1, whereas with the Amazon.com gift card every 4,600 tokens = $1.
Tip To Earning Money at Lucktastic
Now obviously you aren’t going to make much money at all, unless of course you get lucky and hit the jackpot. But more than likely you won’t.
My advice to you would be to take advantage of the Daily Rewards. If you go to this section in the dashboard you will see this…
Just by doing one scratchcard you can get your daily rewards. And if you do this every day you can earn 10,000+ tokens a month. All just by doing this every day which only takes several minutes.
Its still not going to be much, but an extra gift card every month is a nice reward to get.
Lucktastic isn’t a scam but there do seem to be a lot of “lucktastic scams” circling around. What I mean by this is that there are people claiming to be representatives of Lucktastic that are contacting users claiming that they have won prizes when they really have not. Then they will ask the user to submit personal information and even sometimes tell them that they have to pay a small fee in order to receive their prize.
Be careful and if something doesn’t seem right avoid it. And if you have to, contact Lucktastic yourself to see if you really did win anything.
You can read comments in the comment section below this post from users talking about this kind of thing going on.
Final Thoughts & What I Recommend
Well… like I said, Lucktastic is definitely no scam, and I like this app. It is a legit and fun app that you really can make money with, but there just isn’t that much earning potential (which is expected).
Originally I downloaded the app to just test it out and review it. But I think I’m going to keep it and earn a few extra bucks every now and then.
I recommend Lucktastic to anyone looking to earn some extra bucks in their spare time. So if you are someone that likes paid rewards sites like SwagBucks, then you will like this app. Just don’t expect to get rich by any means. This is something I would do if I had a some extra time and was bored, but I definitely would not put an effort into making money with this app. You may also be interested in FusionCash, which currently is giving out $5 just to sign up.
