Go Ringless SMS – Scam Opportunity or Legit? [Review]
Go Ringless SMS is a marketing system that is often advertised as being a way to earn over $500 per sale over and over again. But is there a catch to this all? Is GRS a big scheme that is only going to cost you in the long run? Or is this really a great business opportunity that you should be jumping into right away?
The question of whether or not Go Ringless SMS is a scam it is something that a lot of people are going to be asking. I just came across the system after seeing it being promoted from a big-time online marketer and I’m sure they’re going to be a lot of people promoting it. From the sales pitch it does seem a little bit too good to be true so I can definitely see why they are going to be a lot of people suspicious.
What Is Go Ringless SMS?
Go Ringless SMS (aka GRS, located at goringless.com) is an autoresponder marketing system that uses SMS, a.k.a. text messaging, to reach out to people. This is a lot different from your typical email autoresponders like Aweber, GetResponse, etc.
The purpose of GRS is for promotion of any offer/product that you want to promote. With the system you will be able to gather leads and then have it automatically contact them by phone promoting whatever you have it set up to promote. The reason the system is being promoted so much is because it is set up to promote GRS by default. You can absolutely use it to promote any offer, as I said, but many people are just buying in and then promoting the system to try to make money.
Update: I recently found out that this is basically a rebirth of Go Ringless Extreme, which was advertised as a way to “make $400 over and over”. I guess that system didn’t turn out too well and never really caught on. This is their second go at it. I’m not completely sure if the same people are behind it but I’m guessing so.
How It Works
The first form of contact that the system will make with your leads will be via ringless voicemails. These are simply voicemails that are left on people’s phones without it even ringing. This is something that you commonly see businesses do.
You will be able to set it up so that this voicemail says anything, but by default it will be set up to promote the system as I’ve mentioned. So the voicemail will advertise the offer and tell the person to text “go” to a phone number if they are interested. This phone number that they are told to text is one that you are given with the system.
If someone texts “go” they will automatically receive a message back (sms) that tells them thank you and provides a link to the website of your offer, which by default is your Go Ringless SMS replicated website…
It is no wonder why so many people are promoting the system. You can make $500 per sale and much of it is already set up for you. If you want to go out and promote your own offer then you will have to create your own voicemails, landing pages, set up an 800-link phone number and more.
Sending These Messages Is Not Free
In addition to the cost of buying into the system for the first time, which I’ll go over shortly, you will also have to buy credits. These credits go towards the cost of actually sending out the messages. Luckily they are pretty cheap. You can buy as little as 1000 credits for $7.50 or you can buy up to 10,000 credits for $75.
- 1000 Credits – $7.50
- 1,500 Credits – $11.00
- 2,000 Credits – $15.00
- 5,000 Credits – $37.50
- 10,000 Credits – $75.00
The credit is used each time that a text comes in or goes out. So if someone texts your number with “go” that costs one credit and when the system sends out the automated text message back to them providing a link to your website, that also costs one credit.
You will get 100 credits to begin with when you buy in but will have to be refilling as you go
Lead Generation Software Tools
Now you may be wondering how you are going to be able to capture leads to send messages to the first place. Are you going to have to go out and capture phone numbers yourself? How does this work?
Go Ringless SMS has lead generation software tools that work to capture leads for you. With the system you will get access to a tool called Go Scraper which goes into search engines and scrapes leads from the website results as well as from sites like ClickBank and classified ads.
You will be able to choose keywords that the scraper will target so that you can get relevant leads to market to.
Since there are so many people that are going to be promoting the system to other people as a business opportunity, and many that already do, it’s important to go over the compensation plan.
This business opportunity is promoted as an opportunity where you can “make $500 over and over”, but how does this work?
While as you already know, the system is set up to promote GRS by default. When you buy and you will get the replicated GRS website, the voicemails, the text messages, and everything.
For each person that you market to and personally get to join the system you will earn $500. There is no limit to how many people you can recruit in… However there is more than just that. The compensation plan here is what you call a “1 up” compensation plan and what this means is that everyone’s first sale gets passed up to their sponsor.
So when you first join Go Ringless SMS and start promoting the system, the first person that you recruit in to join will not make you a penny. You will not earn $500 from recruiting this person in. Instead this sale will get passed up to your sponsor, a.k.a. the person that recruited you in. This is a bummer at first, but if you are good at recruiting then it can pay off because everyone that you recruit in will also pass up their first sale to their sponsor, which in this case will be you.
All payments will be received via PayPal.
The Cost of GRS
If you can make $500 per sale then how much does it cost??
It will cost you $597 to buy into this. $500 of that money will go to the person that recruited you in and $97 will go to actually keeping the system up and running.
The price is obviously very overinflated. Only $97 is going towards the actual system in the large majority of it is being given as a reward for recruitment. There is no reason that the system needs to cost this amount of money. It seems to be another case of massively overpriced products that are overpriced for the sake of being able to earn large commissions, similar to systems like MOBE.
Final Thoughts – Good Opportunity or Not?
First off, let me say this… I do definitely think that the system is severely overpriced and the reason for this is to get others to go out and recruit more people into the system, however… I do not consider this a scam. It might be a bit on the shady side of things, but I just don’t see it as a scam.
Besides the price in the compensation plan, the system seems to be pretty good when it comes to marketing. I think this type of SMS marketing is definitely something that you will be seeing more of in the future and I know that there are a fair number of businesses out there that are already using it. The majority of people are using email auto responders but a SMS autoresponder like this can undoubtedly be a benefit to business.
If you are planning on promoting the system than one thing you should know is that it is not going to be quite as easy as it seems. Systems like this are all about recruitment and then getting those people to recruit. Because it is a “1-up” compensation plan and you earn money from the sales of your recruits, it is basically like a MLM. It might not have the same pyramid-like structure of a MLM, but it is much the same in the way rely on the recruits of your recruits to earn money… To a large extent.
Anyways… I hope I cleared a few things up for you in my review here. I tried to make it as honest as possible and really give you a levelheaded look at what is really going on. You can leave any questions, comments, or concerns below and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can 🙂
